Acoustic Performance Standards 

ISO 354 — Sound Absorption Testing 

Describes how materials are tested for absorption in a reverberation room. All absorption data used by ASG’s partner brands must be measured according to this method.

ISO 11654 — Absorption Classification 

Defines the αw rating and absorption classes (A–E). This standard provides a clear comparison between products. 

NRC — Noise Reduction Coefficient 

A simplified, single-number metric commonly used in North America. NRC is accepted alongside ISO ratings for general comparison. 

Fire Performance Standards 

AS/NZS 1530.1 & 1530.3 

Required for many commercial projects in Australia. These standards measure combustibility, smoke, and flame spread. 

EN & ASTM Fire Classifications 

European and international fire test results are often provided by global manufacturers and may be supported by regional testing where required. 

Environmental & Sustainability Standards 

VOC Emissions 

We prioritise products with low VOC emission levels suitable for Green Star, WELL, and similar interior environmental frameworks. 

Recycled Content & Circularity 

PET, felt, and timber options with recycled or renewable content are prioritised across the ASG portfolio. 

Installation & System Guidance
